Someone called in sick.
It's 6am. You have until 8.

Dir. Receptionist for shifts: the AI employee that finds cover when a cleaner calls in sick, on WhatsApp.

Dir.Roster contacts your available staff by WhatsApp. The first to confirm is assigned. You get a notification with the name and the address. No calls, no scrolling through contacts.

Hi, I've fallen ill, fever since this morning. I can't go to Familie de Vries tomorrow, can someone take over?19:47
Get well soon, Maria. I'll pass it on and look for a replacement, you just rest. Until which day do you think you can't come?19:47
So is it arranged? I think I have to stay h
01 · The problem

Someone calls in sick. Finding cover still takes over your morning.

Someone calls in sick at 6am. The owner opens WhatsApp, scrolls through contacts, types the same message to each person one by one. Waits. Calls the ones who don't reply. If lucky, someone says yes. If not, the shift goes uncovered, or the owner covers it themselves.

It does not happen once a year. It happens every week, and each time the owner stops what they are doing.

3
people asked at once. If nobody can, Dir. asks the next three.
1st
to say YES gets the shift.
One
message from you starts it. No calls, no scrolling.
02 · How it works

Four steps. And if your employee messages,
none of them are yours.

1
A shift comes free
Two ways in. Your employee writes “I am sick” and Dir. finds their shift in the schedule by itself. Or you ask for it in one message: “coverage Keizersgracht 123 tomorrow 8:00”.
2
Dir.Roster contacts your team
Asks three available people for that day and zone, each in their own language, starting with whoever has had the fewest extra shifts. Whoever called in sick is left out.
3
First to confirm is assigned
They tap YES. They get the full address and time. Everyone else is told it is covered.
4
You get a notification
You get the name and address: "Ahmed confirmed for Keizersgracht 123 at 08:00." The client is told automatically: "Small change: Ahmed is coming."

If the whole list runs out

Dir.Roster asks three people at a time and widens the circle every 10 minutes. When it runs out of names you get told: nobody can take the 08:00 shift at Keizersgracht 123, everyone has been asked. You never find out at 9am that a shift was empty.

03 · The conversation

Your employee gets a WhatsApp.
Taps YES. That's it.

No app to install, no account to create. WhatsApp is already on their phone.

No calls at 6am. No group chats where nobody replies. No "who can cover today?" with three blue ticks and silence.

No chasing your own team. No client finding out at 9am that nobody showed up. No updating a spreadsheet by hand.

Every step logged: who was asked, who confirmed, how long it took.

06 · Who it's for

Dir.Roster is for cleaning companies where absenteeism is a real, recurring problem.

It's for you if

This sounds familiar

  • 8 or more active employees
  • Shifts across multiple locations or zones
  • Absences happen several times per week
  • The owner or a manager still handles coverage manually from their personal WhatsApp
  • A team that speaks more than one language
It's not for you if

This doesn't apply

  • You have 3 employees and one fixed client
  • Absences happen once a month or less
  • You already have a dedicated operations coordinator

A fixed monthly fee, built around your company.

Price

One uncovered shift risks a contract. In a cleaning company that happens every week. Dir.Roster starts asking for a replacement the moment someone calls in. You pay for what your company actually uses, nothing more. Your staff data stays yours.

Questions people ask before they start

Do I need a new WhatsApp number?

No. Dir. runs from the number you choose: the one your clients already know or a new one. It is always registered to your business, under your name.

What about privacy and GDPR?

Dir. says it is an AI receptionist in its first message and points to the privacy notice. The data belongs to your company, people can ask for it to be deleted, and you can take everything with you whenever you leave.

When does it start working?

Dir. answers the clients and candidates who write to you. What Dir. starts on its own (shift cover, reminders) switches on when Meta approves the message templates. We handle the paperwork with Meta.

What if Dir. makes a mistake or does not know?

Dir. does not invent. When it does not know something, or something needs a decision (a final price, a visit, a shift change), it passes it to you with everything already gathered. You approve and only then does it go back to the other person.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the size of your company and the desks you use, so we do not publish one price for everyone. After a 30-minute demo you get a proposal in writing with a fixed monthly fee for what you will really use.

What if I want to stop?

Stop whenever you want: no lock-in and no setup fee. Your data is yours from day one and you can ask for a copy of everything at any time.

Ready to stop chasing cover at 6am?

Dir.Roster adds to Customer Desk or Recruitment Desk, priced to fit your company. Your data stays yours.
